Li Dongsheng, male, Han Nationality, is a native of County Zhucheng, Shandong Province. He started his career in 1973. Li received his college degree from Fudan University Department of Journalism in 1978.
From 1978 to 2000, Li worked for CCTV where he was engaged in a series of major political reports, such the 6th National People's Congress, the 7th National People's Congress, the 8th National People's Congress, CPC 12 National Congress, CPC 14 National Congress, CPC 15 National Congress, Deng Xiaoping's death, and Hong Kong Return.
Li was Vice-Minister of Ministry of Public Security and a member for the 18th CPC Central Committee. He was expelled from the Party in June 2014.
